When all that I do and all that I try to do is hampered by regulation, taxes, bureaucracy and red tape I have no other choice, when thinking about my family and their future, to run for an elected office. Our government, at all levels has turned against its people and forgotten the truth of service. They like the ungrateful servant have served toward gain and riches and have forsaken the oath of office. With open mouths they scream the words so many want to hear but in their hearts and actions the truths appear.
Our officials have bastardized their sacred and fiduciary duty to serve first those who elected them. Through selfish endeavors they have created mystification, confusion and self aggrandizing policies that ensure reelection, forgetting always about the need to serve. Theirs is not a life of introspection but a media centered allusion created to blur the truth of whom and what they are.
For years they have plotted and planned toward power and with that power comes corruption. They become corrupt because they lose sight of the essential aspects of service. Each and every day they self serve they forget how to care for those in need. Government in this country was created to provide for the liberty and protection of its citizens, not a body of power hungry, manipulating politicians bent on getting reelected over everything else.
Running for an elected office was never my first choice. It has become, however, a mandatory decision to protect and defend what I believe is sacred and constitutional. My family depends on my service towards them to provide for them, to feed them and cloth them, giving them a life of hope and safety. What we have today is the opposite of what I wanted to provide. More taxes creates a greater burden on my ability to earn a living, more regulation limits my choices and takes away from my God given right toward opportunity. Corruption strips my family of the integrity I want to impart to them. Dishonesty disembowels the moral framework that made this Country great.
I may be only one small voice but with that voice I will scream a relentless cacophony of warnings that will not be ignored. With that voice I will demand the changes that ensure a return to the honest ways and to the ways of God and morality. With my small voice I will raise the cry for decency and integrity for all those who serve and create a new standard of service that will exemplify the morals and standing of our Founding Fathers.
Within the 74 Assembly District a new wave of service will envelope the electorate and give notice that the past actions of those elected will not be tolerated, the old corruptible will be expunged and the immoral actions of self service politicians will be destroyed.
I am nothing more than a faithful servant; a servant who desires to serve those with likeminded integrity and honesty. I implore all who can hear and all that can read to put aside the political power of so many who have done nothing but destroy our way of life. Replace their power and self-serving position with those who really care about family, community and what it is that made this Country so great.
Replace those in office and create the kind of government that actually provides the service it was intended to provide. Change for Change sake is not the answer, changing from bad to worse is not the answer. Making your voices and frustration heard is the answer and the way to create that change is to elect those who understand the concept of service. It is for this reason that I am seeking elected office.
